I understand that the company producing a custom pub is looking to deepen brand loyalty and further brand awareness, in as unobtrusive a way as possible. If consumers don’t actually enjoy what they’re reading and don’t learn anything new, then I haven’t done my job.
What I enjoy most about this work is that it allows me to write in a variety of voices about topics that I might never otherwise have the opportunity to approach: a high-adrenaline speedboat vacation, say, or the international travels of an avid Swedish fisherman — or the fun a dad has serving breakfast by the pool.
